Installation of the Foundation	September 9th, 2011

In order to provide a rock solid foundation, 6x6 posts were installed four feet deep into the footing boreholes. The posts were position with a wooden matrix to ensure that they would align properly with the base.

If the idea of carrying 180 sacks of concrete from the home center, mixing it in a wheel barrow and then pouring it into a hole is initimidating to you --- you're not alone. Thankfully, when Evelyn approached C.A. Barrs and Rappahannock Concrete about helping out, they stepped up and gave us a much better job than we could have ever accomplished alone.

Finishing what would have taken my volunteers a weekend to do in a little over an hour, these guys demonstrated the importance of using the right people at the right time. We appreciate their help.
